In order shed light on the complexity of cultural appropriation, our project presents a variety of commonly discussed examples from popular media and daily life on a spectrum.

We hope to stimulate new conversation and engage people to think beyond "is this appropriation?"
to
"if this is appropriation, who benefits and who doesn't?".

The project consists of:

• a graph - visual representation of the spectrum

• a blog - with longer written explanations of the history, placement of examples, and effects of 5 main types of cultural appropriation
